Member Group
|
Select the member group that the members are being
defined for, from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the dialog.

Members
|
This list will show the members that encompass the
selected group. Member 01 is initially highlighted by default. Click on any
member to make it active for member definition activities.

Shear Connector type
|
Select the shear connector type from the drop down
list:
-
Stud - select to locate previously
defined shear studs.

Channel - select to locate previously
defined channel connectors.

Generic - select to define regions of
composite behavior (does not need a previously stored connector).

Location Type
|
Select the location type:
- Relative will
locate the shear connector range at a percentage of the member length.
- Absolute will
locate the shear connector range at a specified distance in feet from the
beginning of the member.

Begin Location
|
- If the location
type is
Relative, enter the location at a
relative location, or percent of span length.
- If the location
type is Absolute, enter the location at the specified
distance, in feet, from the beginning of the member.
|
End Location
|
- If the location
type is
Relative, enter the location at a
relative location, or percent of span length.
- If the location
type is Absolute, enter the location at the specified
distance, in feet, from the beginning of the member.

Longitudinal Spacing
|
Enter the longitudinal spacing between shear
connector in feet.
|
Shear Stud
|
Select the previously defined shear stud from the
drop down list (appears for shear studs only).
|
Number of studs per row
|
Enter the number of shear studs per row. (appears
for shear studs only).
|
Transverse spacing
|
Enter the transverse spacing between shear studs on
each row in inches (appears for shear studs only).
|
Shear Channel
|
Select the previously defined shear channel from
the drop down list (appears for shear channels only).
|
Type
|
Select Composite to define
the range as fully composite or
non-composite to define the range as
non-composite (Generic connector type only).

Copy locations to…
|
Select to copy shear connectors from the current
member to any other member or all members.
|
Save DGN
|
The following button will save the Shear Connector
location 2D model directly to MicroStation DGN file format, including layers.
Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the save is successful you
can browse to file location and open/view in MicroStation.

OK
|
Press this button to save all changes and exit the
dialog.

Cancel
|
Press this button to exit the dialog without saving
changes.
